Our Story

Distinctively U began as a deeply personal mission, inspired by my own struggles with sensitive skin. With a heart innately wired to nurture, my journey as a BIPOC female veteran and marriage and family therapist has always revolved around healing and support. This innate desire to care extends beyond therapy sessions to a deeply personal mission — creating products that envelop the body, skin, and hair in love. 

After endlessly searching for natural bath and body products gentle enough for my skin, I realized there was no product on the market I could truly trust. In 2019, I began working with natural ingredients to craft my own products. What started as personal experimentation with butters, oils, herbs, and vitamins to soothe my skin quickly blossomed into Distinctively U Artisan Bath and Body. 

Over the next two years, I immersed myself in the study of natural skincare, perfecting my formulations and crafting products that honor both sensitive and normal skin. With every bar of soap or jar of body butter, I carry forward the same principles I live by in my therapeutic work: empathy, care, and doing no harm. Today, Distinctively U is much more than a skincare brand; it is a vehicle for self-love, inclusion, and mindful indulgence.
